Steve Crysler

Executive Vice President, Information Technology

Steve has over 25 years of experience in technology and computer science. Steve served our country for ten years as Director and Senior Programmer of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) for the United States Naval Nuclear Program. After his military career, Steve worked in several executive level IT positions before landing at Latitude Technologies in 2010, a leading provider of EDI services for the energy business. As Lead System Architect and Lead Business Developer, Steve was an integral part of the company’s rapid rise to prominence in the energy technology space throughout North America.

Steve has also been a senior SaaS software architect and developer on the EDI translation front serving gas and electric customers in 17 deregulated states. As a result, he is fluid with a vast array of software development program languages, while also maintaining multiple certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, Cyberguard and various other cyber security platforms. Steve earned his degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Michigan University.

At GEE, Steve is responsible for the maintenance and optimization of its IT infrastructure. This includes customer pricing software, company CRM systems, billing and utility interface protocol, and automated client energy management software programs.  Steve also oversees the dissemination of over 20 years of energy data information to both clients and Great Eastern’s team of energy advisors, creating a seamless transfer of market expertise and timing. Steve and his team are an important part of the technological value chain that provides knowledge to Great Eastern’s clients, allowing them to “thrive”.

5 Minutes With Steve…

What I love about my job is:
I love the collaborative process of discussing a need, determining whether or not technology can solve the problem, and building the best solution if it can.
I’m known for my:
Laugh…you will never lose me in a crowd.
I am energized by:
Someone, anyone, saying “that can’t be done”.
