Fred has 44 years in the utility industry where he spent the first half of his career supervising Customer Service departments that handled the largest commercial, industrial and governmental gas and electric customers served by Con Edison. The second half of his career has been in the gas operations sector of ConEd’s Retail Choice program, where he has been involved since its inception in New York State. Fred was a member of the team that worked with all of the Gas ESCOs in New York City. As a result, he has extensive knowledge of the Con Edison gas tariff and Gas Transportation Operating Procedures (GTOP), as well as the overall downstate Retail Choice climate.
At Great Eastern Energy, Fred is responsible for optimizing and balancing tolerances within ConEd’s service area and other New York utilities to increase the value the company provides to its customers. In addition, Fred brings knowledge and influence along with an in depth understanding of the regulatory environment.
Fred lives in Bohemia, Long Island and is active in his church and served on its Board during numerous terms for over 10 years. He was also a Board member of a private day care center and has done volunteer work on the Island of Jamaica and the mountains of West Virginia, in addition to doing restoration work in South Florida following Hurricane Andrew.
