When you think about spring, what comes to mind? At Great Eastern Energy, we think about the earth reawakening: The sun melting away winter snow, flowers blooming and trees sprouting their green buds once more. And for all of this, we celebrate Earth Day.

The Great Eastern Energy team takes its role as energy advocates very seriously. We work hard to educate our customers on sustainability and reducing energy consumption. This year, those efforts came in the form of providing energy efficiency products and services, such as renewable electricity, LED lighting consultations and solar power projects.

Now that spring is finally here, we want to share our message of sustainability on a much larger scale. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, we’ve partnered with Trees For the Future, a non-profit organization initiating and supporting agroforestry self-help projects. We are thrilled to to have this opportunity to contribute to their efforts in aiding underprivileged communities in Africa.

On March 24th, we will begin our “30 Days of Green Energy” campaign. For the 30 days leading up to Earth Day on April 22nd, we will be releasing green tips on our social media channels to help our followers live more sustainable lifestyles.

But that’s not all! Keep your eyes out for this post because for every share, like, or retweet, we’ll work with Trees for the Future to plant one tree on your behalf.

A list of all 30 tips will be available at the end of the campaign to share with colleagues, friends, and family. If you’re interested in learning about new ways to “be green”, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
